This book is designed to be used independently or with a family member, support worker, teacher or friend.  The puzzles can be enjoyed on their own or used as conversation starters about healthy eating, emotional regulation and personal hygiene.

Each double page spread has a puzzle and discussion prompts.  For example, the step-by-step drawing of a sandwich is accompanied by the prompts 'what sandwiches do you like to eat?' and 'what new flavours could you try?'. There is a space where answers, and future plans, can be noted. Each page is illustrated with images which can be coloured, adding more hours of fun.

This book was developed in partnership with the learning disability community. It is unique in starring adults with learning disabilities as cover models and guides. Gracie and Gary lead the reader through the book and provide role-models of neurodiverse adults leading empowered and independent lives.

You don't need to have a learning disability to buy this book.  Parents can use this book to introduce children to life skills and promote understanding of those with learning disabilities.  The book isn't restricted to children, anyone who wants to improve the quality of their life, likes puzzles or enjoys mindful colouring will find this book helpful.  The prompts are useful tools for reflecting on life helping you be more mindful and intentional about your life choices.

This book could also be part of a choice of activities at schools, day-care centres, residential homes, hospitals and community projects.  It can be used in a more structured way as part of a life-skills course, providing the basis for group discussions.
